Rare early 50's late 40's New Look period lace evening dress by legendary designer Pauline Trigere. Featuring a sculpted lace bodice, covered buttons up the front, a 40's era lace peplum and multi layered full net skirt lined in silk taffeta. Trigere's work is featured in museums around the world and she is considered one of the most important mid century fashion designers. This rare dress is a beautiful example of her work and in excellent condition. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. (original belt is missing, we have found a belt from the same time period in a color that matches. We will include it with your purchase. Ideally a navy blue silk belt from the 50's would be best.)
