Tree Risk Assessment

Home » Tree Risk Assessment

Processing a series of risk assessment works helps investigating and analyzing on the health and stability of a tree and/or a group of trees. Our Qualified Arborists with various ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) certification and qualification could identify conditions and/or defects that may affect the tree health and safety level throughout on-site inspection with professional equipment. Assessment findings and recommendations could tell stakeholders the decisive information to enhance tree benefits, health, and longevity in the means of treatment and maintenance.

With gradual levels of assessment works included in a comprehensive risk assessment plan, basic level of risk assessment decides whether advanced level is required and what kind of advanced assessment is appropriate for application.

LEVEL 1: AREA-BASED TREE GROUP INSPECTION

Identify the significant defects of the particular trees with following conditions for immediate mitigations or further assessment

LEVEL 2: INDIVIDUAL TREE RISK ASSESSMENT

Carry out individual assessment on the site, health, status of different parts in a systematic manner on every tree in those areas identified by Area-based Tree Group Inspection.

Any condition / risk and necessity of further advanced level of assessment could be identified.

LEVEL 3: ADVANCED TREE RISK ASSESSMENT

Using advanced tools / equipment to identify internal situation for decision making on treatment and maintenance approach by using concrete evidence

RESISTOGRAPH

Needle-drilling resistance instrument detects the density of penetrated wood and hence the internal decay situation/termite problems, etc.

SONIC TOMOGRAPH

A system captures the velocity of sound waves by hitting a series of nails with sensors installed around the tree and hence the internal decay situation

AIR-KNIFE

Compressed air excavation tool blasts away soil and exposes tree roots for root crown analysis, soil decompaction and root health improvement
